Motion Dance Center is very passionate about serving our community and offering a healthy outlet for all children in Barstow, as well as a safe place to learn teamwork, responsibility and build character that lasts a lifetime.
What classes do we offer?
Ballet, pointe, pre pointe, jazz, hip hop, tap, lyrical, contemporary, tumbling and acro, technique and conditioning, ballet/jazz combo, turns and leaps, tiny lyrical, teeny tumbling, pom team, adult classes, private lessons, cheerleading, traveling competition teams and a performance team for our city events.
Adult hip hop and adult barre class is now available for enrollment
Newly added Cheerleading Program! Offering competitive cheerleading and recreational cheerleading. Ages 5-12, all skill levels welcome.
When are classes?
MDC offers classes all year long. Our regular dance season runs August-June and our summer program runs in July. Season 10 will begin August 5th.
Registration is open all dance season. Registration to participate in June Recital closes March 31st 2024. If you would like to register and not participate in recital, please register at any time during the season. We would love to have you!
Spring classes are now open for 2024 enrollment.

Hallona Reynolds- Studio Owner
Hello, my name is Hallona Reynolds and I am the owner at Motion Dance Center. I have been a dancer for 26 years, instructor for 12 years and studio director for 9 years. I danced competitively at one of the top studios in Southern California majority of my childhood and teen years. I am a mom of 3 girls and 2 of them attend Motion Dance Center and Xplosion Cheer. As a dance mom myself, I want the best training for my girls therefore I still take classes to this day continuing my education to better the training at Motion. I offer our staff a written curriculum and training as well. I take pride in my job, treat each child as my own and always look forward to watching the growth in my studio, instructors and students. I am blessed to be able to contribute to Barstow's community and look forward to each day at MDC. I hope to have your family join us as we celebrate our 9th year!
